"Cosy, convenient, quiet. In the beauty of the cathedral close and right in the centre of town. My room was spotless, lovely and warm with a cute little toilet and shower and towels. Staff were super helpful ahead of time and with check in. "

"Great value for money however the rooms are a little worn around the edges. My biggest concern was having to listen to a constant dialogue between the staff at breakfast time complaining to each other about their other colleagues and their shifts. Need to take it away from your customers! Food on the other hand was delicious."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are modern and really clean and the Inn itself is right in the heart of the forest which was so accessible for all walks. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the breakfast was brilliant and huge! Would totally recommend."

"Welcome and check in fine, evening meal and ales good. Rooms very well presented, warm and comfortable. Rather noisy until pub below closed, then peaceful. Pre-ordering breakfast the night before a little unusual and limited time of 0800-0900 not great for a Sunday morning. Full English breakfast decent, rather casually presented, luke warm tea, no toast? cereals etc not stocked and yoghurts out of date, so not tried. I didn't complain"

"From booking to my stay, was all very easy. The email sharing local events was a lovely welcome. The room was well stocked with tea coffee milk and the breakfast pack up was amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. It was a very unfortunate situation. We are from the USA and found out upon arrival in England that our cell phones were not working properly so...

"In Southampton for a launch Night, Accommodation was perfect for the little time i would be there. Had everything i needed, plus oven, hob and fridge with own bathroom. Everyone friendly and price was amazing. Tea coffee milk supplied and bathroom delights very happy traveller."
