"The hostel is in a great location, close to the train station and lots of great places to eat nearby. But that's the only strong point. Everything else is average at best. The place needs renovation, WiFi doesn't work, cleaning in the shared bathrooms could be improved. But the location is great. So if you are looking for 1 night near the station - this would do."

"I showed up and they told me I hadn’t booked. I showed them my hotels.com confirmation email and receipt. They said they never received the payment even though I had the receipt. They then made me pay for a full room which ended up costing more than what the room I booked online was. I also had bed bugs bite my legs during the stay. "

"Our family of 3 adults stayed at this luxury 3 bedroom apartment in Petersen Tower, Havelock City for 2 nights from 31 December 2024 until 2 January 2025. The apartment was clean, tidy and spacious. It was the perfect place to stay after we had shared 1x hotel room with 3 beds for 5 days prior.The apartment complex has access to a swimming pool, gym and cafe. It is also walking distance from Havelock City Mall where you can find restaurants, supermarket and retail shopping.We chose this property...

"Great find. A little out of the way so you are a little reliant on them in terms of food… however the food is wonderful and so that was a plus. Great team, good value and good values in terms of how the owners treat their employees "
