"The Hotel Helvetia was perfect for my short stay in Zermatt. I had read many of the previous reviews so I was prepared. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the train station, there is no elevator and my room was quite small but had a balcony overlooking the street filled with people. The hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants. This hotel was quite reasonably priced and in a great location."

HOWEVER, for the area and for primarily being a ski resort rental, it was way more than adequate and I'd definitely stay there again. "This property was wonderfully convenient to the bus and train stop…I mean within 2-3 minutes. That was so nice. And it was clean and the door locked and we had the things we needed. Ausserberg was very quiet with nothing going on in the evenings and no restaurants or anything. There was a small grocery spot but it was closed. But, it did have cool old buildings.
