Over a few days, I found out from random people that the area DID have a dodgy reputation so possibly the previous reviews are fair. Cooked Breakfast was hot, and the fruit selection first class. You would find some of the other hotels more expensive and offer you a lot less. This hotel was first class all the way."

"We had a couple of nights stay in the New Inn and it was a lovely clean comfortable place. Great check in and access to a fridge, plates and cutlery if you need it. Chinese restaurant just a minute walk away which was really good. There was a fish and chip place too but unfortunately it was closed while we were staying. Would definitely recommend staying here though, nice safe friendly little village with a great community shop five minute walk away. "
