"Enjoyed our 1-night stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and everything was in great condition. We were able to use the iron/ ironing board to aid us getting ready to to a formal event which was really handy. We had a standard king size room and it did feel like there wasn’t a lot of storage space for luggage/ clothes. We were fine for one night but feel if we’d been there longer we wouldn’t have had enough space to put our clothes etc but it didn’t disturb our stay much. Overall the room...

"Booked the property then saw the reviews so was abit nervous to go here with them all being bad but I can not fault our stay at all! Upon arrival the music was loud in the pub, we checked in and the manager took us out the back. We were in one of the self contained lodges in the courtyard and it was of a very high clean standard, as we arrived the heating was on. It was newly refurbished and it was done to a high standard. Only one fault, the is a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor...

"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter.
