"Just needed somewhere to stay for a good price as my car needed to go into the garage the next day and met a friend in town when I arrived. So I didn't spend much downtime there but had a great stay in a warm room and would recommend this place staff were helpful and parking easy. "

My biggest concern was having to listen to a constant dialogue between the staff at breakfast time complaining to each other about their other colleagues and their shifts. Pre-ordering breakfast the night before a little unusual and limited time of 0800-0900 not great for a Sunday morning. Full English breakfast decent, rather casually presented, luke warm tea, no toast? cereals etc not stocked and yoghurts out of date, so not tried. I didn't complain"

"When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. It was a very unfortunate situation. We are from the USA and found out upon arrival in England that our cell phones were not working properly so...

"When we arrived, he wasn't sure if I had a booking. Waiting outside the property in the pouring rain for 40mins before I got in. When I called they didn't pick up and there was no in the property to assist. The password gave was the wrong one initially and then messaged the right one after waiting for over 40mins. The toilet seat is right by a radiator and could sit properly as the heater continuesly touch you and heat burns. When we entered we had to clean the toilets as they were let dirty....
