"Great and friendly staff, i like that small town feel and breakfast was delicious. It was difficult with sleeping only because my friend didn’t want to sleep with window open for fear of bugs. But that’s nothing they could have done for that. Shower is small and you can hear the other door over when they are also showering. Very quaint hotel but just have ti remember that in France places close in between lunch and dinner time."

Safe parking on premises. It is an annex of a larger hotel and facilities- breakfast and pool are quite a walk- again not clear from the advert."

"Basic hotel in a town where hotels are expensive so reasonably happy with value for money. Ideal for train station and citadel only a 15 min walk away. I did not have breakfast or need parking. The staff are friendly enough though with limited English, and Housekeeping was very thorough. The wifi worked fine after an early glich that reception soon fixed. A kettle in the room would have made the stay even better but quite happy with choice."

"La Rotonde is a decent enough hotel for people on a tight budget. It was closed when I arrived mid-afternoon, so I found myself in a beach-side bar for 90 minutes until a hotel employee let me in. There had been a telephone number for reception but no-one answered my call. The staircase to my room was dark and poky and didn't bode well, but the room itself was spacious and cool, the beds were large and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. "This was our most enjoyable stay in Normandy. The hotel also has a very fine restaurant and Patrick, the chef, not only provided a superb meal but briefly came to speak with my wife (who is a celiac) to assure that he could offer a meal that met both her dietary needs but was up to his very professional standards. I highly recommend this establishment."
