"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. "From our arrival to our departure, Eric the host, could not have been more helpful. The property is easy to find at the end of a small lane with extensive grounds. Eric had prepared a list of recommended restaurants in the area, which is helpful. The room was quiet and spacious. Breakfast was great, with everything being supplied by local producers, which is great to see. Would stay again - thank you! "

"What a lovely little property - it had all we needed for our stay in St Malo. Ideally situated for 20 minute walk to the old town, the kitchen was very well equipped, the sofa bed was comfortable to sit on downstairs. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs were perfectly adequate and the bed was comfortable. It was a nice surprise to be provided with bedding, towels and soap. The only downside for us - as we are both over 60 was the steep staircase (which was clearly pictured) - but we did get used...
