"Really lovely welcome at reception and my request for a quiet room was more than fulfilled. The room was so quiet and the beds comfortable it was exactly what we needed from a quick stop motorway services hotel. OK it's not a 5* luxury hotel but the room was excellent value for money and the warm welcome was worth that alone "

"Great location, right in the town centre. Very modern and clean. Easy to control the temperature of the room. Downside: low shower pressure and no parking. A council car park is a minute walk away which is fine but the app didn't work and I had to go and pay again after 6pm in order to pay for the morning. "

"We had just the one night at the Silk House - and what a great night it was. Nick the owner was the most convivial of hosts and we had a great night in the bar singing, dancing and generally making merry. The room itself was quirky and comfortable although a little too warm. (Couldn't really open the window as it was on a main road). But otherwise a great stay! Thank you Nick!"

"The Red Lion is ideally situated in Bakewell,although there is no parking at the accommodation,there is plenty nearby. The only negative comment id make about the accommodation is the double bed is very small,other than that the rooms are very clean etc The town is very quiet,and there's not a lot happening on an evening "
