We had originally booked the last room available in the inn, but in the end, they gave us an upgrade. The breakfast was fresh and locally made, including with eggs from the chickens on the property. The bread was made with locally-milled flour from neighboring Lopez Island. That's the most local I've had with bread. The property is also a short drive from the charming Roche...

"We arrived at unit XXXXA at 7:40 p.m. and were finally able to enter an hour later. Vacasa had sent me 10 emails before our arrival, all with the wrong unit number (XXXXA) and incorrect check-in instructions. It was dark and raining, and after spending about 15 minutes trying to get in, I called Vacasa. It took 10 minutes to reach an operator and another 10 minutes for the property manager to call me back. To make matters worse, the instructions directed us to a unit two doors to the left...

"Property is newly built and very neat and clean. It's walking distance from the ferry terminal. There is a common area with kitchen that includes oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher etc. The only thing that's missing is air conditioner in the room. There was a portable fan. It gets very hot in the room."

"The 1888 house is charming and beautiful. Kristen had the house ready and warm for us when we arrived, and was quick to answer any small questions we had during our stay. We all agree that next time we go to Orcas we will try to book this house again! "
