The Green Valley Inn

"Marcela was very accommodating, from offering any meals we wanted there on the property, to setting up excursions, to recommending things to do or places to eat not affiliated with the Green Valley inn. The staff was kind and friendly as well."

Banana Bank Lodge

2.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (32)
"Beautiful property, lovely experience but also not what we expected. I would consider this more of a working ranch than a resort, as we felt like it's more setup for locals to Belmopan and cowboys than it is to the average traveler. Nice food, good overall value. Kind of a strange cowboy guy who apparently owns the property who was a little overly friendly to my girlfriend out of the blue. However seems that locals love him and have good things to say. If you're up for something a bit different...

Howler House Amazing Tree House by the river with bikes and canoe

2.0 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (66)
"I found this property looking for a layover spot. The more I looked at the listing the more appealing it became so I added an extra night. So glad I did!! I rented a car at BZE and drive and it was unbelievably easy to find/get to. The location gives you the impression you’re very far from a city. It’s quiet and private. There is currently construction going on to add new houses, which was not an issue AT ALL. I am very happy for the owners and managers for the added revenue (and there will be a...

Howler Monkey Resort

2.5 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (13)
"Howler Monkey was an interesting little place. Family run and in a fairly remote location so we saw enormous, 5 ft. orange iguanas along the river (take binoculars to see them better) and heard the howlers in the area. However, the place could use some work - cleaning, painting, general maintenance, etc. And it is not a 'resort' by most American's description. Our particular cabin was fine but also needed a little TLC. It was 2 doubles with a bathroom door that hit the one bed. And we had a...

Hidden Haven - Hostel

2.0 star property

"Wonderful location. Well named. Only a 5 min detour from the highway but secluded and safe. Surrounded by rainforest trees and an abundance of birds. I stayed there for 2 short visits and stayed in 2 different bungalows, one of which has a deck on the back that makes for great birdwatching. Very comfortable. Surprisingly low price. The owners/hosts/chefs were attentive and friendly. "
