"Great location for a visit to Garden of the Gods. A slightly older hotel that was nonetheless very clean. Has been refurbished but could have used a little more attention to detail.( e.g. there was a poorly fitted slip cover on the small sofa in the room; better to replace the sofa) "

"First, we loved the manager, who obviously went out of his way to make our stay great. Liked the mountainview room, nice layout and clean. Only 2 problems were to some degree unavoidable - the fire alarm went off at 6 am, which after a late night with family was tough. Caused by a kitchen flareup quickly extinguished, the alarm lasted a good 15 minute for firetrucks to reset. Also the elevator broke with guests inside, but they were quickly rescued. We would stay again, as very close to Bear...

"Booked a specific room thru Hotels.com only to check in and find I had been switched to a different kind of room that was smaller. Went to the desk to ask to be switched to the correct room type and found another guest at the desk with the exact same issue. The manager was kind and apologetic but ultimately we got stuck with the smaller room I did not book. Had two TVs in the room and only one remote which worked on neither. Had to call front desk twice before someone came up and was in our room...

"MY ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS THE ESTABLISHMENT WAS A DOG FRIENDLY PLACE AND ASKING PATRONS TO RESPECT THE PROPERTY IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK. BUT I WAS THERE 6 DAYS AND NOT ONCE WERE THE DOG WASTE CONTAINERS CHANGED. (UNTIL GUSTY WINDS BLEW ONE OVER). I EVEN LEFT A NOTE ON THE FRONT DESK THAT ONE WAS OVERFLOWING AND NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT. ALSO, NO ONE WANTS TO WALK THIER DOG IN THE " DESIGNATED POTTY " AREA AND DODGE PILES OF POOP EITHER. DO BETTER. "

"Everything was great! Room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. Not sure what the purpose of contactless check in is, if you get stopped at the front desk to verify….. but they were very friendly and helpful despite that minor inconvenience. "
