"I really enjoyed my stay at Yufuin Yamaboshi. I arrived a couple hours before check-in time but was able to leave my luggage at the lobby so I could explore the area. My luggage was sent to my room when i returned. The room was very big and spacious and I enjoyed the experience of a tatami room. The view from my window was also gorgeous. "一人の利用でも夕食をお部屋でとらせていただけたのがとてもありがたかったです。 とにかくすべてがおいしいです。名物料理が全て食べられて、りゅうきゅうの味もだんご汁の麺？のもちもち感も本当に良かったんですが、特にブリのお刺身が最高すぎてひっくり返りました。 ただやはり量がものすごいので、風習とはいえ旅館さんもそろそろフードロス問題に取り組んでほしいなとも思いました。 お風呂は別々の場所に三つあるところを予約をしたり誰か使っていないか確認しながら服を着直して移動しないといけないので少し面倒でした。42℃のお湯に入れない人間ですがお湯は混ぜてもかなり熱いかったです。大きい方を先に予約できたのが正解で、小さい方は足しか無理でした。好きな時間に予約したい方は早めに伺った方がいいです。露天には洗い場がないので、先に洗い場があるお風呂の予約がとれないと露天にいけません。 大寒波がきてたのもあり、お部屋もエアコンの温度をかなり上げてもぬくぬくとはいきませんでした。廊下もかなり冷えるので、冬に行かれる方はしっかり防寒着あった方が良いかと思います。鉄輪の冬は東京よりもかなり寒かったです。"

"Great, affordable onsen/ryokan experience, especially for those looking for something less formal & more private. They offer 3 different private baths that you can easily self-reserve via a timeslot board. Bathrooms & refrigerator are shared. Complimentary coffee. The girl who checked me in was perfectly fluent in english (& japanese)."

"The room was fine for the price, but the problem was the no staff available for check in (or check out) and a stupid check in "application" that doesn't work properly. This needs to be sorted before this can be recommended to anyone."

"Terrible staff service. I stayed there for 4 nights because I just didn’t want to move my belongings but seemed like the more you stay, the more terrible they are. I don’t know do they have bias only for me or not but I felt it is. As I noticed the guest who only stayed 1 night or short time, They are very welcome and doing good service. From my opinion I pay money more. Either I stayed only 1 night but I also need fairness not bias. "
