"Hotel appeared to be in safe area for the river walk. We had a couple of issues after checking in but wasn't a big deal. When we checked into our room the smoke alarm was beeping indicating a low battery. I got a battery from front desk and changed. Then while settling in we noticed that heat wasn't working, setting was on heat and fan blowing but no warm air. Informed front desk and was able to change rooms. "This was an enjoyable and comfortable place after haven driven for over 7 hours. Very quiet place to lay my head. The night clerk was very friendly and made the check-in seem so effortless. I appreciated that. The room was pleasant with all the amenities that I would need, especially the refrigerator. The king size bed was just what I needed with a mattress that was soothing to my tired body. Heating was excellent! The bathroom was fully supplied with a shower that worked 100%. The water...

"Check in was easy and staff were very helpful. This is a hotel that is being renovated and I think will be at great when finished. We would love to come back when the tiki bar and grill are open(closed in January). Kids loved having their own space with the bunk bed room with their own tv. We walked to The Spot for dinner and drinks. Had gone to Jack Mackerels for lunch and explored the Fort Fisher museum. We would love to come back! "

"We had a very nice stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I also really liked the size of the TV. The breakfast was quite good with a nice variety. I might have to get one of those nifty pancake makers. Finally, the staff was quite friendly and helpful, particularly the young lady at the front desk. I would definitely book another stay there."

"Only problem is the toilet overflowed on the last day. It was running slow, but everybody at the facility was fantastic about it overall was very enjoyable. That was the only glitch."
