"HOTELUX is surrounded by fields. It is very quiet at night. By transit it is about 50 min from Schiphol airport. It's much less if you take a taxi to the Hoofddorp Sprinter Train Station. Transit is quite frequent, but at least a 2.5km walk to the nearest bus or train. You can either walk to the bus or to the train that leaves Hoofddorp, but the train is even further. The walk to the bus is quite pleasant along some canals if you pick the right route. For people travelling by car there is plenty...

"SMALL HOTEL ROOM…. But they tell you that when you make the booking, nothing more than a place to sleep and shower before taking on the adventure ahead. Very helpful staff… the guy at the front desk even remembered my birthday. If you are a walker it’s not super far from the city center. Amstelveen is the area and it’s quieter compared to the city itself. Would Definitely stay here again without hesitation. Just please understand this is a capsule hotel and it’s different from what we are used...

"It was very quiet - guests were respectful and I didn’t hear anything from inside the pod (although they aren’t sound proof). Before staying I was concerned with privacy, but the toilets were individual rooms with doors, the showers as well, and both were pretty clean. The pod itself was fairly clean but a decorative pillow placed on the bed was evidently not cleaned regularly. It had hair on it. If you are backpacking and want to meet people, this is not the place. The common areas were not...

"We realize we are in Europe and things are different than in the US but the room was very tiny as was the bathroom but it was adequate and it was clean and the people working at the desk were very pleasant and helpful. There was plenty of restaurants and shopping right out the door. The bed was extremely comfortable. We loved it for its location and was walkable to many places in Amsterdam."

"I was pleasanty surprised about this property...the only thing i did not think was good was the wifi and it was a bit far from central area It was a good 35 minute walk to get to the center of amsterdam ...transport by tram takes just as long so i walked instead. I am a fast walker. "
