"The spa was closed and the outdoor tub in our suite did not look clean. Also, the pool was closed. We were not told this when we booked and I specifically asked around 1pm when I tried to check in early and was told to ask again at check in (at 3pm when it was too late to cancel. This was hidden as the spa had been closed for several weeks with no foreseeable reopen date. Very disappointing. Everything else was good. "

"Our 2 days stay at this very traditional home was another highlight of our 3 week trip to Japan. The best of all was the incredible and very extraordinary dinner with multiple, never before experienced, sushi courses. The chief is a bit strict about how to eat the fine food, but that's part of the fun "one bite" ;). Unforgettable days! Thanks very much"

"This is an old school honestly, but with nicely separated living spaces (shred bathrooms). Not squeaky clean, and a bit outdated…but human and not without charm. The owner is a super courteous dude. You may need a car as it is a few kilometers 40 minute walk from the train station. The payoff is the silence and chill vibes out here. I enjoyed my stay. "

"The owner has no idea, he wanted us to pay when we had already paid and wanted to charge us to pick us up from the station when the booking form clearly stated "free pick up from station" There was no way to contact the owner through email. There locks on the windows do not work, there was a hole in the door that someone could crawl through, we felt unsafe. Disappointing, we left one day early and lost our money. Not recommended "
