"We always write what we did like and what we didn't like so much. Onto the not so much to get to the awesome! The only thing we can think of is we didn't feel as secure as we could have with the room. The windows can't be left open (screens) if you want your items as protected as possible that makes it stuffy and warmer in the room when you are gone. However, staff is around, it's a close knit community, theft would be rare and would probable come from a guest. We DID like the staff, amazing...

"This was a trip to Puerto Cayo. Puerto Cayo is a very very very sleepy little village west of Jipijapa. You have to want to go there. There has to be a reason. Otherwise, most people head to Frailes or up to Manta. If you want quiet and no people -- not cars in the streets or motorcycles making noise, then Puerto Cayo is for you. It's a beautiful and empty 5 mile long beach. Maybe 20 boats out every morning looking for fish. Whales are littler yards away migrating up or down the coast. It's...

"Owners were very friendly and helpful. This is a family friendly hostal with no partying, drinking, loud music. Made it easy to sleep. Rooms are basic, no AC, no hot water but private bathroom in our room. Bedroom could use fresh coat of paint but everything was clean. For the price it was a great value. Without a car it is likely further from the beach than easily accessible. We had our own car so it was a short drive. We would definitely recommend this hostal."

The property is 1/2 block off of the beach in the middle of the beach activity and is lovely. The rooms are clean and just the basics. Bed, side table, refrigerator, clean bathroom. "It's right on the beach in Olon which is the principal attraction, rooms are small but adequate air conditioning works but is a bit noisy and around 6 am I was greeted with what sounded like someone practicing the bass guitar close by. Other than that I would recommend it "
