"I was a bit nervous in the days leading up to this stay knowing that it is a hotel without a traditional check in desk (not because I am against this, just if there are issues it could be difficult), and others have had difficulty locating the building. "Staying at this property feels like stepping back into the 1800s. I've never seen so much wood and the decor is really nice. very very friendly staff and though it is a bit rough to get to it is worth the drive. I would stay here again in an instant. I will make one note that you should expect spotty internet, but everything else was completely excellent and absolutely worth a second trip!"

"Nice clean pub rooms. Small but secure with refurbed bathrooms. Warm and quite comfortable. A pretty standard double bed but still sleep worthy. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist. No lifts as stated but we were able to leave most of our luggage in the car. Dinner is limited as the cook called in sick but there’s a few budget options nearby. Just avoid the kebabs. Great location to visit the Fyrish monument. Value for money this stay. "

"We stayed while walking the Great Glen Way. It is a mile from the route. We had a great dinner at the Eagle Barge Inn before going to hostel. Very small room with bunk bed and shared bathroom. Have to rent towels. End of season so no breakfast, but a kitchen was available to use. We walked to the Well of Seven Heads coffee shop for breakfast. "

"The property is in a great central location...easy access to just about anything. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was very clean. A couple challenges for us...not sure there is anything that can be done but want you to know...the floors in the main bedroom are old (beautiful) wood floors that SQUEAK terribly. "I spent one night at the Waverley Inn in Dingwall, while heading back from a work trip. PROS: friendly staff, clean and spacious room and bathroom, wifi works well, free parking available, excellent value for money, and there's the chance to use a microwave oven in the dinning-hall. Special mention for the microwave oven, I wish more hotels and guest houses offered that option! Cons: on the day I was there, the tv (and tv remote) didn't work; but wifi worked well. "We missed the turning as postcode didnt take us to the Bothie direct, but as soon as we saw the Laggan Lock sign right by the bus stop we never missed it.
