"Nice location (only about 30 min drive to Interlaken) with spectacular views from our room. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We drove and needed parking which wasn't a problem here. My only complaint was that the bed wasn't the most comfortable and wish there were more options. Besides that, this was an excellent stay that I would highly recommend to anyone! "

"The Hotel Oberland was the perfect place to stay in Lauterbrunnen. We stayed here on the recommendation of Rick Steves and it was perfect for our three days. We stayed across the street in like a mini apartment down the steps towards the back of the building. We had plenty of space with 2 beds, a kitchenette, stove top, microwave and refrigerator. The Coop grocery was a 5 minute walk down the road if we needed anything. The room was extremely clean, warm and plenty of space to move around. ...

"No space to move. Shower cubicle encrusted with grime, basin without hot water, no toilet paper. Nobody available to assist with anything. Guests are given a contact number, but get hung up on if they ring it. On the plus side, the bed was reasonably comfortable. Seriously, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else."

"This hostel has a beautiful view and is right on the lake. But the WiFi situation is terrible! No WiFi in the rooms and poor signal in the common area. The property is also right next to the train tracks, and the train goes by often and way into the night. There’s also one restaurant close by that I could find, so very few places to eat/shop/etc. Overall, it’s a great spot if you want to sit on the lake and relax, unplugged.
