"I'd read the previous reviews before booking here so this is an up-to-date review now for everyone! 1. Over a few days, I found out from random people that the area DID have a dodgy reputation so possibly the previous reviews are fair. But locals told me that the council have made a big effort to sort this out. I'm a middle-aged woman staying ON MY OWN and I saw zero of any concern. 2. "Room was served as a stopover to pick family up for Christmas . Did what it said on the tin . Minster chimed all night . And found a bit weird there was an iron but no hairdryer . "

"Really comfy place. Room was spot on. When the gentleman showed me the room. He noticed a mark on the duvet. (It was nothing really). It looked like they’d maybe rested the vacuum on the bed & it had left a bit of dirt. The gentleman changed the duvet cover there & then. I ordered my breakfast & unfortunately I slept in. When I left I apologised & they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Spot on place , would stay again."

"It needs a good refurbishment carpets worn and patched up in our room double bed was so uncomfortable could feel the springs single bed ok. Alright for the price but would definatly not stay again photo's of hotel on site must have been year's old think it needs updating the was nowhere to get anything to eat if you wanted to "
