"On arrival allocated 506 room one of the turret rooms with steps I tripped up on step the light was dim and could no see the steps went to reception and and this was rectified room 507 which was better standard and very happy staff were great enjoyed I stay at royal hotel only twice a year and they look after me very well and I will cotinue to keep going and recommend to my friends"

"Very nice little hostel, only 4 rooms for 3 bathrooms so it feels private. The room was great, pretty clean with a private sink, the beds were confortable and a lot of space on top of our head despite being bunk beds. Nice location with view on Ben Nevis and the breakfast was just enough and cheap for what it's worth. Enough space as well if you wish to make your own food.I would recommend if you wish to have a quiet stay near Fort William."

But the herons have been here for much longer than that, and so have the pine martens and the buzzards. Look at the swans.
