"The hotel is a bit older however they are in process of a remodel that is looking great! The room was great and the front desk lady Heather was an absolute sweetheart. It’s off season so there was only 1 other couple staying at the hotel. Will definitely return and so excited to see the updated rooms! "

"Charming cottage with beautiful lake views. The owner was friendly and extremely accommodating. She made us feel VERY welcome! The space worked well for us, but just a note for families with small children who will be sleeping in the bunk room: the privacy screen does block off the area but it opens right into the living room, so won't do much for noise/light. Overall, we are very appreciative of your gracious hospitality! Thank you!"

"This property was beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. Well maintained. The view was spectacular. Cayuga Retreat provides an incredibly peaceful and gorgeous place to relax and unwind. Our host, Casey, was very easy to communicate with and provided everything we needed for a perfect stay. I'll definitely return!"

"Our group stayed Friday night through Sunday morning. Our cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated. There are multiple cottages on the property with grills, picnic tables, a communal fire pit, as well as docks if you will be bringing a boat. Rachel was very prompt at answering any questions we had. We had a great time!"

"This property is a great little find just steps from the beautiful Chautauqua Lake in the quaint town of Mayville. Perfect location to walk to the park and restaurants. The place is very comfortable with anything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. Vanessa was responsive and helpful, and even helped me locate some items that got left behind. "Our first (and certainly not last) visit to Chautauqua could not have been more pleasant, in large part to this great property and the helpful owner. A vast array of things to see and do are a short drive away. However, "doing nothing" just sitting on the balcony and enjoying the lakeside view was another appreciated option. "This rental exceeded our expectations. The location was great, close enough to canoe to the lake. The host goes out of their way for renters to have a great experience providing basic needs that others almost never provide. The communication with the host was great as they responded to every message in a timely manner. We hope to rent again in the future."
