"My wife and I go to Southend often and found the Hamiltons Boutique Hotel which we haven't stayed in before. We had a message in the morning to confirm what time we'll be arriving which I thought was a nice touch. We had a lovely welcome and being out of season, we was given the Hamilton Suite with a sea view. The whole hotel was lovely and clean and bright with lots of light. The next morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast each. 100% will be out "go to" hotel when we go to Southend now. Great...

"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "The Location of the house is Perfect! The only thing to criticise was that we booked for 4 People but only got linen and towels for 3. unfortunately no response to my Text Message and Email. We figured it out since we only spent two Nights there. On First sight the house was clean but I discovered old receipts and empty Water bottles under our bed when I checked it before leaving. Apart from that - excellent property I would definitely recommend. "

"I booked and paid for this place but the owner never got back to me. Never emailed me the code to get in. And then travelnest told me it was my job to try and get a refund off expedia! This is a rotten disgraceful way to treat people. Id travelled 140 miles to stay here with my disabled husband and two dogs and couldnt even contact the owner to get in!!!"
