"The wonderful lady that greeted us was friendly and had a good sense of humour. She showed us to our room which was spotlessly clean. We had dinner which she also cooked and breakfast again cooked by this true asset to the pub. A pleasant stay for a wedding just a short walk away. Was it the Ritz? No, but we didn’t pay for the Ritz. Would recommend. "

"A lovely one night stay. A couple of things I think to improve on. 1. Have the hot tub ready for guests to get in once they arrive. We waited an hour & a half to heat before it was warm enough. 2. A mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold & milk rather than have to collect from the restaurant. "We booked it as an emergency on the morning of our stay. We felt very welcome on arrival, Terry and Lynette are great hosts and happy to deliver whatever you need for you. The property is very old, "historic" is the right description, so be prepared for the "quirkiness" and mild inconveniences that come with it. We stayed in an on suite room and that was fine. Breakfast is cooked literally "whatever you like and how you like it", accompanied by stories of the property going back to the 12th...
