"Very central location for Stone Town. Easy to walk to local attractions. Less easy to get back to but that is due to the many narrow streets rather and geography of the area and nothing to do with the hotel! The hotel is known by everyone so if you get lost someone will help you get back. It is noisy with building work going on nearby, calls to prayer, and the church bells ringing but we expected that to be the case and soon got used to it. The air conditioning, fan and turn down service...

Was empty most of my stay and not comfortable for a single female traveller. Breakfast was not good, was just fruit and an egg. I wasn't able to fully open the door of my room because there was an extra bed in there that was supposed to be removed, but was not. Ashtrays around the pool looked like they had not been emptied for a month."

"Uhuru, the owner of this place, was very welcoming and any request was fulfilled within minutes. Bungalows are very clean, swimming pool as well. Lots and lots of space for chilling and relaxing with the view of the sea. Chefs were creating interesting and tasty dishes from Swahili kitchen. Staff was very friendly as well. This place is great for animal lovers as they have lots of cats, dogs and monkeys. Ahsante Sana!"
