"Tembo House was one of the most beautiful and unique hotels my wife and I have ever stayed it. It is walking distance to the heart of Stone Town and the Freddie Mercury museum, also has stunning views of the water and all the boats. Comfortable, clean, vibrant, and gorgeous! The staff was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. They were nice enough to hold onto our bags in a secure room while we went on safari for a few days as well. Will definitely be coming back here the next time we’re in Zanzibar!"

"The stay was definitely what I would describe as a paradise resort, great food and entertainment and the staff are very friendly.With the only slight feedback being they had a lot of power cuts through the stay and water cuts occasionally but it was fixed once reported. A slight bit of maintenance needs to be done with regards to rust but is very difficult with the type of climate in Zanzibar but overall I would recommend this as a 5 star location in Zanzibar, thank you."

And Johannes and Suliman also are great. Food is good, view is spectacular, rooms are big and have an "Old World" feel. I love it here!"

The only areas of improvement for me was that wifi was very slow in some rooms and spaces and the long nails of the spa ladies did not provide for an optimal experience. Other than that - 10/10."
