"Location is outstanding and is in the middle of the old town within 10walk from the train station and a block form Lake Lugano. The check-in staff were very friendly and very helpful whenever we had questions. One thing that could be improved is to respond to customer issues. Our shower head fell and broke. We reported the issue and it wasn’t fixed for two days before we left. We basically used a hose for shower for a couple of days. I believe this is something simple that could be fixed...

"Wonderful little hotel. Lovely and helpful staff with great recommendations for food, transport and sites. We arrived early morning after 34 hours travel and they stored our bags and showed us where we could change and freshen up, then sent a message when our room was ready so we could check in early. Clean, quiet and spacious room with comfortable beds and pillows. Close to metro, restaurants and a great bakery/cafe for breakfast. "

"I chose this hotel based upon others reviews location AND the 24 hour front desk. I was scheduled to meet old friends for a reunion but did not know at what time that night.when I arrived I noticed a handwritten sign at check in desk: “Front desk is closed from midnight to …”. "Esperienza consigliata, lo staff è stato molto cordiale e disponibile… A Mendrisio per lavoro ci vado spesso, l’albergo è molto comodo alla stazione, cosa che ho sfruttato per recarmi in centro. "Beautiful place, clean and great location. So picturesque with the balcony and water view. They provided a map with directions on how to get there from the ferry to avoid stairs. I would recommend this option if you also have a suitcase. I would definitely come back! "

"It's fine. Cheap place to stay. The noise is the biggest issue. There were dogs barking in reception one morning and no attempt from anyone to quiet them down. On the last night there was someone in a room practicing opera from 10pm til gone midnight. Think they need to remind guests and staff this is a hotel and people are trying to sleep. But as I say it's clean, cheap and staff were friendly."

"I enjoyed 2 nights here. It was clean and easy to handle breakfast and check-in. Overall appearance .....needs some paint outside/inside and around windows. Back garden could have been darling if tools and ladders were put away in the shed with the doors closed. Overall it could be charming."
