"There was mold throughout the room: on the walls, ceilings and bathroom. There was a gap at the bottom of the door into the room where light came through the opening and no telling what else..The chairs, desk,bedside tables were worn and unclean. The carpet and curtains were old and frayed. I believe it was the worst place I have ever stayed."

"This was my first time in Gainesville, and I got lucky choosing the Comfort Inn University. It is close to a wide array of shopping and restaurants accessed by well maintained sidewalks. From day one the staff were friendly and responded to my concerns. The breakfast was limited but good and the facilities overall were in good shape. The hotel only had one washer/dryer in operation (the other was awaiting repair), but it worked out to still do my laundry. The room was comfortable, plumbing...

"There was plenty to like about the property. The property is under new management and the nice remodeling of the room was appreciated. Understandably, remodeling takes time. For instance, one bed was fine in our room and the other was old, creaky, and lumpy. It would be nice to see vending machines in the lobby. The ice machine worked nicely and was appreciated."
