"A lovely warm welcome from Cathy room basic and dated but there are plans to update the whole hotel to bring it into line with what people expect but I really hope they stay true to the legacy Cathy and her husband have taken 38 years to build. "Contrary to some reviews i have read about this establishment, we were very impressed! The staff were really lovely and very helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was clean,well appointed and quiet. We ate there both evenings of our stay and i honestly couldn't fault our meals in any way. Simply delicious and plenty of it. Breakfast was also very good and massive! We will definately be staying here again and i thouroughly,wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone. Well done Burrator inn."

"We were put in a basement room with a view of back yard with dirty doors etc. .no hair dryer or Iron. Luckily we asked for one at reception but had to walk 100 yrds to do that. .door didn't close properly so could hear all noise. Toilet flush from next rooms was very loud. Also terrible creaking floorboards from rooms above. Parking was limited on street and was pay and display which was expensive for 24 hours. We were not far from beach so that was a bonus. Only stayed one night fr an occasion...

"Middle of March and still fairly cold .Main heating doesn’t stay long enough to heat up the apartment.I had to use the electric heating which run on a meter .I ended up paying £15 on the electricity meter for heating ,lights and cooker for 3 nights stay .The downside for me was paying to keep the electricity going .Just be aware when booking ,they have the old electricity meter where you have to pay extra to keep the electricity going for the duration in your stay "
