"We had a wonderful stay in the mother in law suite. It was warm, cozy and quiet (except for the ice maker) which I would recommend turning off before bedtime."

"This condo was just what we needed for two people. Ski in/ski out access to the slopes was great for taking breaks from the cold. The only drawback was that it was missing a corkscrew to open my wine bottle- Will definitely make alternate plans on our next visit. We plan to return, if not this season, in the near future!"

"Over all it was pretty easy going my only issue was with the TV not having a remote that actually work to turn volume up and down. If you’re not an expert on programming remotes watching tv wouldn’t have happened. I also never figured out what ski locker was for the unit. There was no instructions on where or how to use the ski locker. Considering we only stayed one night it wasn’t worth me contacting the host to figure it out. Other than that I would totally book this room again. "

"House was very nice. Owners have all normal amenities along with some other added touches such as coffee, toilet paper and paper towels. We had one issue and owner was quick to respond with a repair. The house wasvrt very comfortable. "

I got a text from the owner of the house the day of check in asking if we had a 4WD vehicle as the road goes unplowed usually. Luckily, we had AWD and snow tires so we were okay. "We were looking for a quiet, out in the country place to celebrate our anniversary and came across this quaint cabin just outside Monterey, VA. The cabin is cozy, and it worked well for just the two of us. We took advantage of the hot tub which was very well maintained. We also lit up the firepit on another evening while watching the moon rise over the hills. The cabin is just a few minutes from Monterey (which sits in the valley just below the cabin.)
