"The staff were friendly & welcoming, the hotel was mostly clean but some areas of the room had been poorly cleaned. My issue is with the decor of the room. Bare concrete walls are not conducive to a welcoming, comfortable stay, no matter what artistic crap reason you give for stinting on the decorating. The lighting was dingy & swallowed by the heavy, dark walls. Coupled with the extremely small size of the room it felt like a prison cell. It's a shame as the bathroom was great & the staff...

"The property is beautiful--very historic and full of character. It had just the right amount of modern touches to be comfortable without sacrificing historic charm.
