"We booked last minute due to having to cancel our trip into France because they closed the station due to finding an unexploded bomb from WWII. "Overall, the property is an excellent spot for a heavy sleeper. It is less than a 5 minute walk to Paddington Station, but conversely this does make it quite noticable when trains are arriving/departing. As a deep sleeper this was not an issue, but for someone who is more prone to sounds at night, this could be problematic. This building is in the older part of London and as such does not have central AC available in rooms. Luckily high ceilings were able to mitigate a lot of the heat, but it...

"Absolutely lovely. Well lit leading to hotel, safe area to walk late at night, and the right amount of space. Staff always helpful and kind. Heads up if you have a large suitcase as there is no lift. Coffee and tea available in lobby, and a little sink in the room. All of about ten minutes from major train station, less for smaller one.
