"Staying here for 2 days was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica! We were treated like family! Albert Alonso the owner is a wonderful chef and he makes everything himself. From bread to pizza, pies and everything in between. He also went over and beyond and called around to find a personal guide to show us around the area that was honest and trustworthy. Thank you to the Alonso family!"

"The front desk clerk told me that there was no rooms available. This is far from a poor customer experience. This is absolutely a lack of empathy and simple business operation. Now I need to look for another hotel at 9:00 pm"

"We got to the hotel our resevation was in there system, buf they told us it was canceld, we contacted expedia, everything was to be as booked, Hotel had a room but would not honor our booked rate, so we went elsewhere "

"Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy a stay at the Casa Grande. There is no road to the place, i.e. they have to pick you up by boat. I sent an e-mail, left two WhatsApp messages and tried calling 4 times, all to no avail. Even 2 days later I have not heard from them. I ended up in Parismina without any recourse to get to the place, and so I had to find a different accommodation there. Very unfortunate. If you can book this place in the morning for the evening, the resort must respond, otherwise...

"They asked me for more money an hour before I got there. The stairs were missing a railing and my kid fell off and got to paralyzed pretty easily. Shower head had a built-in water heater and had an exposed wire going to it you could see the metal. Other than that it was great"

"Not our best Pura Vida stay. Newer style building with friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast and secure parking Traffic noise was very loud. The room lacked any character or charm. No seating in room, barely warm water in shower, reading lamps by beds were too dim to read by."

"Outstanding property with wonderful hiking trails near by. Cute quiet town. The road down to the cabin is steep and unpaved but we managed in a 2wd vehicle. Wifi/Service was out but there is so much to do it didnt bother us one bit. 10/10 would stay again."
