"Very difficult to get to - hour and a half of bumpy roads to Carate, then a 3.5k hike. The logistics were not well communicated, but worked out fine. Hot (mid-April visit). The grounds are pretty special with spider monkeys frolicking in the trees right above the tents and ocean waves supplying 24-7 white noise. The guided hike into the National Park was underwhelming - the wildlife was superb, but you only skirt the periphery of the park and don't get to really explore the old growth. "

"I stayed just one night at Cabinas upon arriving to the Osa peninsula and it was the perfect landing place to being my trip! The staff was so kind and helpful and it was great to be able to get out on the water and Kayak. The location is walking distance to town for cafes, grocery and restaurants. The price is affordable and the room was very clean and cosy! I would definitely stay again if I travel there! "

"Accommodation was simple and there was no room service. However the view and gardens were stunning with large shady trees and it’s right on the beach. Swimming good- just need to walk out a bit at low tide. Quiet with good privacy and great restaurant a short stroll down the beach.Birds were amazing, monkeys every day, sloths, crocodiles across the road. Jetty for tours within walking distance. Hosts delightful."

"Our room, #3, overlooks the water/dock/boats. Entry to the room is from the bar/dining area. Fortunately, the restaurant/bar was not busy the night we stayed so noise was not a problem. The decor is of a bygone era. Service was very friendly and quick. The food was good, too."

"We booked this hotel for a quick stay after a long days bus ride. At time of booking a message was sent to management letting them know that our arrival to the hotel would be late as there was a lengthy bus ride and as the expedia app explained late check in was available as per availability whatever that means. The hotel responded a little later that late check in would not be possible and sorry for the inconvenience. Inconvenience? We were only a few hours from our destination at this point...
