"The house itself was very beautiful and impressive with lots of character which suited the old village of Hawkshead. The spiral stairs and semi-circular landing were charming features. The rooms were so very clean and comfortable - with lovely new beds. Clean, fresh and spacious bathroom too - with a powerful shower. The owners gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Parking was available at the back...

"It was our first overnight stay here and we were pleasantly pleased how conveniently located it was to the centre. Tea, coffee and sugar provided, a very comfortable double bed which was spotlessly clean and fresh and everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Car parking is directly opposite. "
