"The Ibis Budget Hotel was clean as always, living up to the basic Ibis quality. It was easy to reach from the motorway. There’s a burger restaurant nearby (similar to McDonald’s) that offers great takeaway burgers at affordable prices. The staff were friendly and quick to help. "The hotel was conveniently located to the university, just a minute or two from the Observatoire tram stop (direct connection C tram from the Gare Centrale train station). While no hot food, the breakfast buffet was full and fresh and good value, the room with panoramic windows had good light and outside air control, and tram sound was minimal with the windows closed. "There was a bit of a musty smell in the room, but it was comfortable to stay in, breakfast was good, and the location was fantastic -- right by the tram stop and the cathedral!"

"No air con in July made my stay difficult. Located on a river bank, if you opened windows you were attacked by mosquitos. Room spotless clean and comfy bed. Bathroom excellent. Part time reception cover but helpful staff"

We had to ask for extra pillows as they were very limp for our liking. We went to visit Christmas markets. It was about a 15 min ride from the airport and to the Christmas market. "
