The only thing was you needed to be buzzed into the hotel after past 10pm. You would need for someone to let you in from the street after 10pm. "

Speaking of which the location of this hotel is perfect walking distance to most places people come to Cuenca to see. The neighborhood felt safe and walkable (especially compared to Quito). "Avoid!!! I arrived at about 5:30 at night, had a booking confirmed for over a week and NOBODY WAS THERE! Rang the bell, messaged and tried to call several times - no reply! People from the shops below were even trying to help me contact them. Finally Expedia customer service helped find me another place to stay, which was thankfully nearby, nicer and less expensive.
