"What a lovely place. Set in quiet village right next to Dunham Massey and Tatton Park which we visited. The breakfasts are excellent and thoroughly recommended - you will not need lunch !The hosts Janice and David were very friendly and welcoming . Those guests of a certain vintage may recognise the original Silver Fox , David , as he was a Snooker champion. "The room was a non smoking room yet it had a ashtray on the dresser (which was dirty with cigarette ash) the trouser press was loosely fitted to wall with one screw and u/s a number of the pictures affixed to the wall were UPSIDE-DOWN, and the room carpet was without a relationship with a vacuum cleaner. "Greeted by a pile of dirty bedding and towels in the room, phoned to tell the owners who did nothing about it. Very very dated and not in a quaint way. Not clean at all. Fortunately it was only a one night stay before we flew out on holiday early the next morning. I would not recommend to anyone. Floorboards are ridiculously creaky, if anyone gets up in the night, everyone is woken up! "
