"Overall a great property. Definitely not a 2 star hotel. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, staff was great. Only issue we had was the location of the hotel. The views are breathtaking but to get to a bus or train station you need to walk at least 10-15 minutes on a road that has no sidewalk /footpath for most part. So, it's little risky. I suggest the hotel to start a shuttle service for a small charge from hotel to the bus stop every 15-30 minutes. It will go a long way and will address...

"Good location for our Interlaken visit. Short walk to the railway station. Breakfast was nice to get the day started. Rooms needed additional lighting and extra electrical outlets (especially one in the bathroom) would be nice. Tried to bring the lighting issue to managements attention but didn’t ever see someone to talk with during our 5 day visit."

"Das einchecken ist etwas tricky, man erhält irgendwann eine Nachricht, wo man schlafen wird und wo der Schlüssel ist. Ansonsten geht man ein und aus, wie man will. Es hat einen Dorfladen mit sehr limitierten Öffnungszeiten, welcher das Notwendigste hat, um es in der Unterkunft zuzubereiten. Es hat eine Küche und Tische zum Essen. Das Bett ist etwas federig, aber abgesehen vom dem war alles super sauber und modern, vor allem für den Preis."

"Lovely preserved hotel that brings you back in time right in the middle of Lauterbrunnen. Part of the front of the hotel was used in the James Bond movie “Her Majesty’s Secret Service” back in the 1960’s. The scenery from the hotel terrace and front patio is spectacular! However, I strongly suggest booking a larger room and not the single room for 1. It was tiny and I struggled with fitting an open suitcase on the floor. The bathroom was even tinier and if you are over 6’ - you will be hunched...

"This is an awesome rustic stay. Not posh, somewhat quirky, but charming and memorable. The hosts are very accommodating and welcoming. The restaurant and bar downstairs has a good breakfast and a dinner option available - the food was simple but fine. Rooms are small, with shared bathroom and shower facilities that were not my favorite, and not always very clean. But this is a really special place in the world and if you go in knowing what to expect, you will have an amazing stay. "

"This was a one bedroom studio apartment. The condition of the apartment was not great. The apartment is on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator - about which we are not informed about at the time of booking. Imagine carrying 4 suitcases to the 4th floor. The appartment gets direct sun and there were no fans. It got very very hot in the day time. This apartment is built in attic and we kept on bumping our heads. Avoid this place, if you can."

"The Adventure Hostel is a short walk from the Interlaken West station, had super friendly staff, a decent breakfast, and very solid accommodations. By far one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in, with quality easily comparable to (and in some ways surpassing) 3-star hotels. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and I definitely recommend the Fondue Villa for great views and fondue!"

"No space to move. Shower cubicle encrusted with grime, basin without hot water, no toilet paper. Nobody available to assist with anything. Guests are given a contact number, but get hung up on if they ring it. On the plus side, the bed was reasonably comfortable. Seriously, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else."

"What a beautiful location! We used the trains and buses so the hotel was very convenient. Someone was there to greet us upon arrival but there is a self check-in that is helpful when arriving at various times. Breakfast was available at an extra charge but can be eaten there or taken with you. The shower is in the room so with four people there was a little less privacy and space but beds were comfortable and it is very quiet. This was a great place for us to branch out from this little town...
