"The breakfast spread was by far the best I’ve had, it was not only very affordable (¥2400 if you make a reservation one day prior) and the food spread was also very varied. There were 3 types of Niigata rice to choose from, and also some of the best bread I’ve ever had. The ensuite bathroom was spacious, and the showerhead had good water pressure. "Great location. Older style hotel and our initial room was very poor and we were moved to an excellent room because the air conditioning didn’t work in the first one. The second room had excellent beds, aircon and space. The staff service was impeccable, particularly Miss Watanabe as she helped us with many things like booking restaurants and finding a good Onsen. "Beautiful traditional Japanese Inn. Long history behind the inn nicely updated. Incredibly kind and helpful staff. The service of the traditional dinner in our room was above and beyond. We didn’t always know why we were eating but we did try everything. The hot bathing tub and outdoor shower were lovely and private. Nice amenities for the room. For US travelers the futon mats could have been a little thicker and the pillows were definitely unusual for us but obviously traditional. Breakfast...
