"The hostel is a rare find if you want value for money in terms of accessibility and places to see. Seriously, it is right in the heart of LA. In 4 days, I traveled all the way to Pasadena, Santa Monica, Long Beach, and many more just because public transportation was accessible and I could always find a train back to this hostel. You can not expect a full-fledged 5-star treatment at this price but it certainly offers you a lot if you are traveling light. Downside? The beds really need some...

"I enjoyed my stay, I did go and purchase cleaning agents because I felt I needed it to be up to standards I felt comfortable with. I slept in a dormitory style room with three other people. I slept in the bottom bunk it was comfortable, for more privacy I had use a light blanket and a yard of cloth that I hung from the upper bunk that draped down to give me that barrier of privacy. The sheets , pillow and comforter were clean. I would say check your mattress, prior to sleeping in it not for bed...
