This is a backpacker destination and we were the only ones there with children. The hosts are very helpful, and the people in the village are kind. Anywhere you go will involve walking steep paths, and if you choose to do any trekking, expect a challenge if you are not an experienced hiker. Also expect a lot of mud, so pack appropriately. "A surprisingly modern and "futuristic" place for a small, rural town like Sapa. The experience of staying in the pod was fun. It was extremely private and comfortable, a place to come back to after a day to rest, but perhaps not the best place to socialize and make new friends - but I don't see people coming to Sapa for that reason, necessarily. I only stayed one night but really enjoyed it."

"Upon arrival, I was informed that the dorm I booked for was going under construction so I had to pay a bit more for a single room. Room was dirty and humid. Towels were stained. Also about 20 beds available for a 'homestay' and guests are served pancakes for breakfast - not the true vietnamese breakfast the family was enjoying 10 metres from us.Calling it a back to basic bed and breakfast or guesthouse would be much more accurate.The whole homestay concept is totally overrated and should be avoided.
