"This is my 4th visit to this excellent hotel, always on a one night stay as I am taking the Carlisle to Settle train the next day (must see!). This hotel is a great place to stay, the staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and I always get a great nights sleep here. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the station, the building is quite old and has a lot of character. Incredible value for money and well located I never consider staying anywhere else if I am staying in...

"Loved staying here, the staff are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Room was cold on arrival but we were given an extra heater that did the trick in no time 👍. Nothing would put us off staying here again. Would definitely recommend staying here, we will stay again. Beautiful "
