"Sato san and Nora san were the perfect hosts for our 4-night stay. Food was very good and the pension was warm and cozy. Our room was spacious enough and had a wonderful view of sunrise and even part of Mt Iwaki. Our room package came with daily breakfast and dinner. "Very nice and helpful English speaking member of staff. However, the room felt very similar to a youth hostel. The room was incredibly cramped and dated. The lighting in bathroom was so dim it was impossible to have a bath with the door closed as would be in darkness. There were polystyrene panels blocking up a wall from our room to next door, which meant we could hear everything that was going on, and vice versa. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, but we were only able to have it at 8.00...

"White Rose Inn was a great place to stay in Appi Kogen. Hostess was absolutely amazing, very helpful and accommodating. The inn is very comfortable, lovely room and great shower. Easy to get to the ski hill. Breakfast each morning was very good. The town itself is quite small, but a beautiful, quiet place to stay. Absolutely recommend staying here, than you!"
