"Where else can you stay in a houseboat in the middle of the city? It is definitely a fun adventure. A few things to know: if you or anyone in your group has mobility issues this place is not for you. Steep stairs. Also you are in the city. It isn’t quiet. The hosts kindly leave earplugs but we sleep with white noise so not an issue for us. The kitchen is more of a Kitchenette. Great storage for clothing given it’s a houseboat. Management was quick to respond to questions. "

"Casper is a helpful host/owner. He had a great list of recommendations and showed us around the property when we arrived. The studio was nice and a great location to the train station. With a Vrbo, I expect to rent the whole place, just be aware that you’ll have a neighbor that you share a front door with and that the owner has an adjoining door they stays locked. I never felt unsafe but didn’t feel like this was spelled out on the description. The original listing mentioned a hot tub twice,...

"This houseboat is not fancy - but it is as comfortable as being at a friend's cabin - we didn't want to leave. We had not stayed in Amsterdam before, so wanted our first few nights to be something unique. The boat was perfect! It was close walking to everything, yet it was quiet and relaxing once inside. Watching the crowded tourist boats traverse the river was a fun diversion. Our friends staying in a hotel were jealous of the roominess experienced on the boat. While we didn't cook, the kitchen...

"The boat is very basic but is in a great location not far from the centre of old Amsterdam. (Ignore Diemen as the location). It’s very cheap for Amsterdam which makes up for its basic amenities. You can make use of facilities in nearby cafes and the Public library. The surrounding area is just off the tourist route so you get to see how locals live. Cees was a great host, very accessible and happy to help out and give advice."

"We had a truly wonderful stay on Robertino and Carl's boat. The property is stunning, beautifully situated and equipped with every amenity you could think of. We enjoyed cooking in their well stocked kitchen, spent our evenings on deck watching the defilé of boats pass by and slept deeply on the very comfortable beds. Even though the boat is located on a busy canal, it is very peaceful and private. Thank you for making this such a memorable stay."

"We stayed three nights (family of four) in Casper’s boat. The location is perfect, short walk to/from Centraal Station and easy to get to everything within the city. Casper’s communication was top-notch and the accommodations on the boat were exactly as advertised. Highly recommended. "

The boat has a prime location with the feel of full immersion into daily Dutch life, super quiet nights with close proximity to all of the activity in the city center. "Great stay! Unique place! Seemed out of way but ten minute bus ride from end of street to downtown Amsterdam was easy. Marieke and Sander great hosts! Restaurants, grocery and bakery nearby. Definitely recommend staying here!"

"Wonderful experience. Martyn was very hospitable. The location is quiet and across from the zoo. Waking up to elephants and zebras was incredible. We enjoyed a nice hit tea on top of the boat in the mornings while we watched boaters and swimmers come by. We truly enjoyed this property and it’s fully stocked kitchen supplies. "

"Very spacious rooms, modern bar and lounge area. Breakfast options were excellent. The only downside wa sthe power of the shower was a little tame for my liking. Ease of access to the transport links. "

"It was fab we opted to not have our room serviced every day and were given a token for e free drinks at the bsr, which was great. We did opt not to have our room serviced 1 day out of the 3 and that was disappointing beds were made and new towels but no new milk or tea bags which meamt we werent able to have a drink for the last day and dirty cups and glasses left in the room and not replaced. Hiwever staff incredibly friendly and breakfast fab."

"Eden Hotel is a gem in Amsterdam. We loved our stay very much! We flew into AMS, took the train to Central Station and walked about 20 mins or so to the hotel which is right on one of the canals. The lobby is extremely modern, filled with various plants and very warm which was nice (as we visited recently in the winter months). It was VERY cold outside so we were always happy to get back to the hotel after a long day of exploring and walking around! It's so centrally located, closest to Rembrandt Square but Dam Square is a very short walk away as well. One other thing I'd like to mention is their water pressure is insane, I don't think I've experienced that at a hotel before. The beds were so comfortable! We stayed in one of the rooms that had the wallpaper / blue corset image behind the bed... in comparison to our friends room, we were on the upgraded side of the building so I'd keep that in mind when booking! You cannot go wrong with this hotel. I'd absolutely stay here again!"
