"Place was ok for what we needed"

"Mostly fine. Staff very polite and helpful. Food good. Room clean and on tap tea was welcome! A couple of gripes: Low water pressure to bathroom sink - alslthough shower was fine. More importantly there was a distinct lack of light on path from car park to hotel entrance and at he door entrance, I needed my phone light to see the combination numbers on the door entry system."

I had a double room with shared facilities, very poor accessible shower. Room was clean and fine for my needs. I didn’t read the fine print so had difficulty in gaining entry, but after numerous phone calls (answer phone messages) and a prolonged email chat, access was afforded. "High-end country pub with excellent restaurant, the perfect weekend get away slot. Lovely staff, good service and near to a real-life castle. Although I recommend avoiding the room with a bathroom upstairs - cool initially but ultimately annoying in the middle of the night."
