"We had an amazing stay at the Byrds Nest. James and Marty, the owners, were very gracious and excellent hosts. The property is beautiful and a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. They have goats, peacocks, guinea fowl, turkeys, chickens and even a pig to hang out with. "Super cute house out in the country. The owner had great communication and instructions. My Golden loved exploring the area. She had fun chasing bunnies and interacting with the cows and talking a long morning walk. Thanks again Travis for a great stay and hope we left the house organized and neat. "Group of us doing the local Texas River Marathon canoe race. This place is located in the middle of where we wanted to paddle. Four bedrooms with 1 bath took a little shuffling with 7 folks getting ready in the morning. Daughter works with horses at a boarding ranch at home. So she was a happy girl here. Nice and quite with plenty of room."

"We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest."

"The house is exactly as described in the listing, and is probably the best stocked house we've rented. The kitchen is ready to be used, with the utensils and cookware you need for day to day. The house is nicely decorated and comfortable. The wifi is very fast. Theres just really no downside to the house. The owners obviously work hard to be good hosts, and are very quick to respond to communications. And Victoria is the perfect location, equidistant from houston, corpus christi and san antonio....
