"Lovely hotel for a short stay, the staff are all friendly and helpful, the room was spacious enough for a travel cot and had a large dressing area and lovely views of the garden. The breakfast and lunch was good, fresh ingredients and well seasoned. My only note would be that the travel cot provided had no mattress (just the thin hard one that comes with a travel cot), as they left a large blanket and sheet I wrapped the sheet around the blanket to make a mattress and it worked very well,...

It's a very straightforward experience with not many amenities -- no hotel transportation, laundry service, refrigerators or microwave, for example. However, the staff were helpful with what the hotel did offer, and the breakfast was lovely. It's a quiet town that closes early, but they do have room service and a restaurant/lounge that offers some late night menu items. "A lovely hotel, and overall a good experience. The public areas are something quite special - and service is excellent. My only complaint which resists a 5 star rating was the room noise. It was quite dated, and the corridor noise was quite loud through the night and could hear another guest coughing in their room - which given the relatively high room price was a bit disappointing. I’d stay here again, but I’d ask for a better room away from traffic areas. "
