"This was a two night stopover to allow us to ride around the Cantel region and, in particular, the rim of the volcano (long since gone). The appearance of th hotel upon arrival gives little credit for how comfortable the rooms are and how pleasing the restaurant is. It is little surprise that the hotel is used by tradesmen and appears to be full all the time. Very pleased with our stay and would recommend."

"The people running the hotel are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The hotel itself is older and the room was small but it was also inexpensive. They ask us not to flush the toilet or shower after 10pm, because the plumbing is old, but it is disclosured up front. The town is nice and the area beautiful. We hiked a lot."

"Fantastic holiday in a beautiful location - very well equipped house with everything you could need for a holiday. The house is a good size - we were a family of 5 so were in luxury! The games room was a big success with teenagers more used to xbox over the last year - table footy, pool and darts - several fun evenings! The massive selection of dvds and books for all ages meant that a rainy day wouldn't have spoiled the holiday. We brought our mountain bikes and found some good trails locally-...

"When I checked in, I was so tired that i dropped my wallet on the way to my room. Thankfully, hotel staff found it intact & knocked on my door 15 minutes later. I'm very grateful to them for literally saving my holiday!"

"We didn't expect too much. We arrived decently late and tried to call multiple times to check how late we could check in, the first 2x the phone was not answered. We were asked if we want to see the restaurant menu but were not informed when it closes so by the time we went to the restaurant the kitchen had closed and no warm dishes were available. "La maison est grande, pratique (manque peut-être un frigo quand on est une dizaine). L'espace autour est super agréable. Nous avons bien profité de la table de ping ping, du barbecue. Et que dire de la piscine couverte , magique ! Notre hôte nous a toujours répondu. Et il y a de quoi visiter aux alentours, en voiture bien sûr. Donc nous avons passé de belles vacances dans cette maison."

Cozy and secluded chalet

"A comfortable and well-equipped rental. It had everything imaginable in terms of kitchenware, recreational materials (games, cards), tourist brochures, cleaning materials, and bathroom supplies. The tourist information was solely in French as well as all instructions for the use of appliances. We highly recommend an English version, especially for the appliances, for those who have little to no French. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the owner about charges for linen and towels. The VRBO English site indicated no extra charge for this. It seems that the French site did. This is a serious oversight/problem. Beware users of the English website before you book! However, Corinne was very amenable and understanding about this issue and we resolved it amicably. Overall, the accommodation is very good. And visiting such a beautiful volcanic landscape was an unforgettable and once in a lifetime experience. Merci, Corinne. "

"From a very warm reception, to a comfortable & spacious house with so many things to explore. The house is warm and quiet with plenty of room and everything provided. There is so much to do and to see: The Dordogne dams and lakes, Salers, Puy Mary"
