Amazing rooms amazing services the bath house is amazing, right across the street from the bus station 5 minute walk from 7/11 6 minute walk from the lake extremely friendly to foreigners :) ~ Thank you
We stayed one night. The staff were super friendly and helpful the room was not new, but spacious enough, Japanese style. Onsen was clean and uncrowded with all necessary amenities.
A different experience to be able to experience Japanese culture. At first I was scared but then I gave myself the opportunity and the truth is I loved it. The staff is very helpful and they cater to all our needs. I recommend this place.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This was a very basic, remote, old hotel. Had some Japanese flair but not for us. Food service extremely limited and not much in the close by area. Run down. Cold.
Property is excellent, but area is a negative, is difficult to get there, GPS on expedia is way off by at least 1 kilometer, the property have no restaurant and all the area around, dies by 6PM, leaving you with the only option of 711, 800mts away which kind of close by 11PM i guess. Onsen is excellent. Room was excellent also.
The hotel was very quaint and cheap but unless you come to the area during peak summer tpurist season expect minimal amount of businesses being open and availabile.
If you’re going to Mt Fuji, then try this side of the mountain and stay at this place. This ryoken (traditional Japanese Inn) has everything a ryoken would typically have, but also an onsen on the first floor. Having a bath in the onsen after seeing Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji on your front steps is something I'll never forget, and cant wait to experience again. One caveat is that the amenities in the room are small, but not really an issue. As for entertainment or good places, you’ll have to go around the area - there is a conbini (convenience store) around, but also a dining area with several restaurants. We tried a couple and they were great! Be prepared though for the lack of english speakers in this area. Honestly it's not an issue, just use the tools at hand to communicate and you’ll be fine! I known I'll be staying here again in the future!
